If You Prefer Your Aromatherapy to Go

Share

Oh, we all laughed when the word “aromatherapy” slid into the lexicon. But now we are slavishly devoted to those tiny bottles of essential oils, with designers as hoity-toity as Donna Karan and as proletarian as Clairol getting into the biz. So what’s the next step? According to the Canadian company Deserving Thyme, it’s Aroma-to-go. Aroma-to-go offers three little travel packs ($12 each): Thyme Travel, Voodoo Love and Rest Assured. Each is nestled in its own little ersatz Chinese food carton and is theme appropriate:

* Thyme Travel is designed to lift the spirits of even the most homogeneous hotel room with 2-milliliter bottles of peppermint, lavender, lemon and a blend of rosemary and geranium essential oils; basic massage oil and blending bottle are included.

* Voodoo Love’s petitgrain, ylang ylang and orange oils can be used with the included aroma ring, candle or massage oil and is touted as being just right for a weekend getaway.

* Rest Assured includes veivert bath salts, lavender oil, tangerine bath oil, an aroma ring, relaxation massage oil and chamomile/lavender tea--maybe this one should come in a bigger box.
