The city’s Nature Park will officially open for the summer season at 9 a.m. Saturday. A groundbreaking event for a new flagpole begins at 10 a.m. A local Boy Scout troop will present information about the park, park tours and upcoming scheduled activities. Park hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, beginning June 15. The park also will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 19, July 17 and Aug. 21. The park is at 4201 Ball Road.
