Hilfiger Shows How to Live High on the Hog

Talk about streetwear. Tommy Hilfiger, the fashion designer best known for his eponymous red, white and blue logo, is lending his name and signature to four limited-edition Yamaha motorcycles in honor of Father’s Day.

“Motorcycles are more popular than ever before, and sport motorcycles are attracting an increasing number of young male riders who are big fans of Tommy Hilfiger clothing,” said Bob Starr, Yamaha Motor Corp.’s national communications manager. “You can’t go to a road race without seeing the Hilfiger brand in the audience.”

Or anywhere, for that matter.

The YZF-R6s, which Cycle World magazine named best middleweight sport bike of 1999, are available as part of a special promotion through Bloomingdale’s and at some Yamaha events. In July, the promotion extends to the Web at https://www.yamahamotor.com.
