Disney Names 4 Executives to New International Posts

Walt Disney Co., the world’s second-largest media company, named four executives to newly created international posts as the Burbank-based company looks to strengthen its presence in other countries.

The company named Paul Saleh, 42, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Walt Disney International. Disney also appointed Etienne de Villiers, 49, president and managing director of Walt Disney International Europe; Michael Johnson, 44, president and managing director of Walt Disney International Asia; and Diego Lerner, 43, president and managing director of Walt Disney International Latin America.

Disney said the appointments will organize its international operations to boost the company’s brand name. The four executives held other positions in the company.

* Labor and employment lawyer Joseph E. Herman has joined the Los Angeles office of Thelen Reid & Priest of San Francisco. Herman, who comes from the firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, represents hotel, gaming and financial services companies in Nevada and on the East Coast.
