Delutz Makes a Strong Move to the Top
Tommy Delutz Jr. of Flushing, N.Y., took the lead Thursday night after the second round of match play in the Professional Bowlers Assn. Tour’s ACDelco All-Star Classic at Cal Bowl in Lakewood.
Delutz posted high games of 255, 255, 258, 274 and 269 to move up from second. He leads the field with a pinfall total of 4,298 and a 248 average.
Sitting 66 pins behind Delutz is Chris Barnes of Wichita, Kan., while Steve Jaros of Bolingbrook, Ill., has toppled 4,197 pins and defending champion Steve Hoskins of Tarpon Springs, Fla., is fourth with a pinfall of 4,183.
