Driver Badly Injured When Car Overturns
A car that overturned near Camarillo left two people injured Wednesday night, at least one of them critically, California Highway Patrol officials said.
A vehicle driving on 5th Street just east of Las Posas Road crashed around 6:20 p.m. The unidentified female driver was airlifted to Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura, while her male passenger was taken by ambulance to St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital in Camarillo.
The driver was critically injured but was expected to live, a hospital spokeswoman said. Details about the extent of the man’s injuries were not available late Wednesday.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
