LA PALMA
The City Council recently rejected a plan to extend El Rancho Verde Park by leasing 2.4 acres from Southern California Edison, saying the proposal was too expensive. The proposed lease price was $5,280 for one year and increased by 3% a year for 10 years. Instead, the council directed the city’s staff to go back to Edison to renegotiate a less expensive deal.
