Executive VP of Times Mirror Resigns

Mary E. Junck, executive vice president of Times Mirror Co. and president of Times Mirror Eastern Newspapers, is resigning from the Los Angeles-based company. Raymond A. Jansen, a senior vice president and publisher, president and chief executive officer of Times Mirror’s Newsday unit, was promoted to executive vice president and will also oversee the Eastern newspapers. Efrem Zimbalist III, a senior vice president and president and chief executive officer of Times Mirror Magazines, also was promoted to executive vice president and will also oversee Times Mirror’s StayWell health improvement information company. Times Mirror owns the Los Angeles Times and other information companies.
