The Ottawa Senators aren’t only having the best season in team history, they’re rewriting team records in the process.

Magnus Arvedson collected the Senators’ first hat trick in three seasons at the Corel Centre and the Eastern Conference leaders scored a team-record eight consecutive goals to defeat the Tampa Bay Lightning, 9-3, Monday night at Kanata, Canada.

“That’s unbelievable,” Arvedson said. “We’re playing really well together and it feels good.”
