LAKERS-CLIPPERS REPORT

Share

Clipper rookie center Michael Olowokandi is expected to be activated off the injured list for tonight’s game after missing the last five because of a high ankle injury.

Olowokandi has practiced the last two days without much pain and told Ford before Tuesday night’s game at the Sports Arena that he’s ready to play.

“I told him that I felt fine,” said Olowokandi, averaging 9.7 points and 7.8 rebounds. “If we’re going to go down with the [NBA] record [of consecutive losses to begin a season], I want to be a part of it.”

Olowokandi, who injured his ankle against the Lakers nearly two weeks ago, said playing against Laker center Shaquille O’Neal is also motivating.
