When the only challenge you want is finding parking.

* House of Blues on Saturday. You like-a de ol’ time disco, you wanna rock ‘n’ roll all night? * Make-Up at the El Rey Theatre, April 3. This monthly Saturday-night glam club’s Gutter Gangster house band is an adventurous gathering featuring members of Plexi, OtherStarPeople and Star 69. * Opium Den on Wednesdays. The Den features Men Without Sex. No, they’re not a bunch of hard-luck losers cruising for ladies, they’re the popular ‘80s cover band that plays all your favorite songs from that strange decade. 1605 1/2 N. Ivar St., Hollywood, (323) 466-7800. 21 and over. $5 cover.

* Reseda Country Club, April 17. It doesn’t get much better or louder than a double-header tribute at this old Valley nightclub, which has invited the Atomic Punks--L.A.’s favorite early Van Halen tribute band--and Ratt and Roll, which always keeps the headbangers going round and round. 18419 Sherman Way, Reseda, (818) 881-2988. All ages. $10 cover. (If you can’t wait until April, the Atomic Punks play at Scruffy O’Sheas on March 19.)

* Scruffy O’Sheas. About three times a week, this Marina del Rey nightclub books retro bands, from Tuesday night regulars the Fab Four, to Saturday’s show with Led Zepagain. 822 Washington Blvd., Marina del Rey, (310) 821-0833. 21 and over. Cover varies.

* The Viper Room on Fridays. Seems some booties are meant for shakin’, that’s why the Viper’s Friday-night house band, the disco-era cover band Bootie Quake, is still creating tremors week after week. 8852 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, (310) 358-1880. 21 and over. $10 cover.

* The West End. With weekly shows such as Friday Night Fever with the Funky Hippeez, and Flashback Saturdays with 80 Sumthin’, this Santa Monica nightclub gives locals a chance to never grow up. What’s next, Nirvana ‘90s? 1301 5th St., Santa Monica, (310) 313-3293. 21 and over. Cover varies.
