* Re “County Offers New Vision for Santa Monicas,” March 17:

It doesn’t matter what the plans call for, or what the community thinks. It only matters what the politicians think. Next time someone wants to continue overbuilding, let them call me! I’ll give them some quick figures that no one has taught them. Have you ever noticed the sign that tells the maximum capacity? School buildings hold only so many students. If the builders want to build homes and more homes, why don’t they build the schools first?

I understand the builders want to make money and the politicians are going to let them. I know we have plans for another school, but why is it planned for after the overbuilding? When all this building was going on, “someone” knew how many homes would be built. That same someone could approximate how many children would be in the area. Couldn’t someone figure out there wasn’t enough room in the schools for these kids? Could they have been thinking only about money? Nah.
