2-Day College Fair Planned for April

Share

Prospective college students will have the opportunity to meet campus representatives during a college fair April 15 and 16 at Seaside Park.

Representatives from public and private community colleges and four-year universities nationwide will be at the Ventura County National College Fair. The representatives will explain the college admission process and discuss campus life and financial aid with students and parents. They will also offer one-on-one financial planning and college counseling.

The fair is sponsored by the National Assn. for College Admission Counseling, an educational group of more than 6,500 high school guidance counselors, college admissions officers and financial aid counselors.

The national organization sponsors about 35 fairs and attracts more than 600,000 students each year. The college fair, which organizers hope will become an annual event, is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on April 15 and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on April 16, and is free.
