Olajuwon Scores 32 for Rockets

Hakeem Olajuwon scored a season-high 32 points and helped the Houston Rockets hold off a fourth-quarter charge by the Sacramento Kings for a 110-100 victory Monday night at Houston.

It was the Rockets’ 10th consecutive victory over the Kings.

Atlanta 80, New York 71--Fatigue caught up to the Knicks as they played horribly in their third game in three nights and were booed by fans at Madison Square Garden.

The Knicks missed 16 of their first 17 shots in the fourth quarter, including airballs by Marcus Camby, Chris Childs and Charlie Ward.

Milwaukee 115, Detroit 86--Ray Allen, Glenn Robinson and the Bucks made their first 11 shots while holding the Pistons to only one basket in the first quarter for an easy victory at Milwaukee.

New Jersey 106, Toronto 87--Stephon Marbury had 31 points and 12 assists at East Rutherford, N.J., as the Nets beat the Raptors.

Indiana 90, Washington 86--Reggie Miller, on the bench because of early foul trouble, returned to key a 15-0 run at the start of the fourth quarter for the Pacers at Indianapolis.

Phoenix 89, Vancouver 84--He made only 11 of 22 free throws but Jason Kidd, who turns 26 today, scored 24 points, handed out nine assists and ignited a fourth-quarter run that led the Suns at Phoenix.

Seattle 92, Philadelphia 76--Gary Payton scored 26 points at Seattle as the SuperSonics ended a two-game losing streak and beat the 76ers for the 12th consecutive time.

Phoenix forward Clifford Robinson, who claims he was defrauded by his former agent and two partners in a brokerage company, must pay a partnership the $517,000 he owes on a home loan, a federal appeals court in San Francisco ruled. The court ruled Robinson waited too long to claim fraud. . . . Marv Albert will make his debut with Turner Sports as a studio analyst tonight when TNT televises a game between Utah and Miami at 5 p.m. . . . Houston activated Antoine Carr and placed Matt Maloney on the injured list because of a sore right elbow. . . . Milwaukee placed newly acquired point guard Sam Cassell on the injured list because of an ankle injury and activated forward Scott Williams. . . . New Jersey put center Jim McIlvaine on the injured list. He will have shoulder surgery and probably be lost for the season.
