Charter Bus’ Driver Had Health Problem

The driver of the charter bus that crashed in New Orleans on Mother’s Day, killing 22 people, was a diabetic who had begun kidney dialysis--a condition that could have cost him his license when it came up for renewal in the fall. Federal investigators are looking into whether driver Frank Bedell’s health problems contributed to the wreck.
