Suspicious Object at School Harmless
A suspicious object found in a boys’ bathroom at Oxnard High School Wednesday morning was determined to be harmless, but not before a bomb squad had been called in.
School officials reported finding the object, which Oxnard police did not describe, about 10:50 a.m.
Authorities said it didn’t appear to police that the object was a live explosive, but the Ventura County sheriff’s bomb unit was dispatched as a precaution.
The bomb squad removed it from the campus and later determined it was not an explosive.
