SEAL BEACH
The city is considering a plan to narrow 5th Street in order to slow down traffic. A recent speed survey found that 85% of motorists drove close to 30 mph on the street, where the speed limit is 25 mph, Public Works Director Steve Badum said. The city is currently designing the project and hopes to have it underway by early fall if the City Council approves, Badum said.
