Cal State Fullerton will award honorary doctorate degrees to the director of the movie “Titanic” and to a community leader who worked on behalf of Japanese Americans interned during World War II. Academy award-winning filmmaker James Cameron will receive his degree during the university’s May 29 graduation ceremony, as will Clarence Iwao Nishizu, a philanthropist who has been active in various efforts in the Japanese American community.
