Palmdale 13, Hoover 3--John Felkins hit a home run and two-run single for the Falcons (19-7) in a Division I victory shortened to five innings because of the 10-run rule.

Felkins (6-2) pitched a four-hitter and struck out one.

Chris Testa hit a two-run triple and Matt Plante had a run-scoring double for Palmdale.

Greg Russell hit a run-scoring single for Hoover (15-9).

Glendora 11, Quartz Hill 1--Matt Travis and Ben Smith combined on a two-hitter for host Glendora (17-8) in a game called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.

Quartz Hill (11-14) threatened with runners at the corners with one out in the second but Travis ((9-2) struck out Richmond McMurray and Eric Connelly. Travis struck out the side in the third.

John Clark of Glendora hit a three-run home run in the first. Chad Clark, who has signed with USC, and Wes Wilkes, also hit home runs for the Tartans.

St. John Bosco 11, Oxnard 8--The visiting Yellowjackets (12-11) fell.

DIVISION V

St. Bonaventure 6, Malibu 5--Gil Infante walked with the bases loaded in the ninth and the Seraphs (11-11) won a wild-card game at St. Bonaventure.

Freshman Brandon Mascorro of St. Bonaventure had three hits, including a two-run triple that tied the score in the eighth.

St. Monica 5, Campbell Hall 4--Billy Johnson scored the winning run when he stole third base and the catcher’s throw sailed into left field in the eighth inning of a wild-card game at Campbell Hall.

Campbell Hall reliever Matt Kaplan (1-1) struck out three of the four batters he faced, but he walked Johnson with one out and Johnson stole second.

Johnson pitched a six-hitter for St. Monica (10-11).

Campbell Hall (19-5) committed six errors and allowed two unearned runs.

Michael Frost of Campbell Hall struck out six and walked two, allowing four runs on five hits in seven innings.
