LOS ALAMITOS
The Los Alamitos Medical Center is one of seven hospitals in the county giving free hepatitis B immunizations on June 5 for children 18 years and younger. A new state law requires all students entering kindergarten to seventh grade after July 1 to receive immunizations against hepatitis B, a liver disease. The medical center, 3751 Katella Ave., will hold the immunization clinic from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Other participating hospitals are Western Medical Center in Anaheim, Fountain Valley Regional Hospital & Medical Center, Irvine Medical Center, Santa Ana Hospital Medical Center, and Coastal Communities Hospital and Western Medical Center, both in Santa Ana. Information: (888) 458-4697.
