GOVERNMENT CONTRACT AWARDS
* Ventura Asbestos Control in Moorpark has been awarded a contract for $13,937 from Ventura County to remove the X-ray lobby from the first floor of the Ventura County Medical Center.
The project is scheduled for completion this week.
* Alvalyn Lundgren Illustration/Design of Newbury Park was awarded a $2,000 contract by the Los Angeles Department of Airports to create two brochures for noise-abatement programs at Van Nuys Airport.
One brochure is aimed at the surrounding community and local government leaders, and the second is directed at pilots and operators at the airport.
* Harison & Associates of Ventura was awarded a contract with the Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department to complete a facility-needs assessment and to help city staff and the Recreation and Parks Commission with the planning process.
The amount of the contract will be determined later, based on the amount of work done.
