The California Department of Transportation and the Orange County Transportation Authority will host an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 9 in the library at Villa Park High School, 18042 Taft Ave. The event allows residents, motorists and business owners an opportunity to speak with agency representatives about the three-year SR-55 North Improvement Project, which began last January.
The Costa Mesa Freeway improvement project will add one lane in each direction and widen existing freeway lanes and overcrossings. The project will also improve local streets, add sound walls and reconstruct the on- and offramps at Chapman, Katella and Lincoln avenues.
