TUSTIN
The City Council unanimously voted in favor of changing the street name of Bruno Drive to Bruns Drive in honor of John Bruns, who was killed in action during the Korean War. The Tustin Ranch street name was misspelled when it was created about seven years ago. Members of the Tustin Union High School class of 1949 have been fighting to correct the street name since September.
Councilman Jeff Thomas requested city staff look into providing some compensation for the 35 residents who will be inconvenienced by the name change.
