Capistrano Valley came up with five Dana Hills turnovers, including two in the fourth quarter inside the Capistrano Valley 20, and held on to defeat the Dolphins, 10-7, in a South Coast League game Friday night at Dana Hills.

Trailing by three early in the fourth quarter, Dana Hills quarterback Mike Bergey threw a 46-yard pass to Damon Alavekios to put the Dolphins at the Cougar 19. But Stanley Bouknight killed the threat by intercepting a Bergey pass at the two.

After the Cougars (2-7, 1-3) failed to move the ball, Dana Hills’ Dan Herlehy, who blocked a field-goal attempt earlier, blocked a punt to give the Dolphins another shot, this time from the Cougar 8 with 5 minutes 52 seconds remaining.
