The City Council voted in favor of temporarily installing stop signs at the intersections of Handy Street and Quincy Avenue, and Handy Street and Monroe Avenue even though the Traffic Commission denied the recommendation, reporting that there are too many unwarranted stop signs in the city that impede the flow of traffic.
City staff will evaluate the street changes for six months and will return to the council with a report.
