Golf Tournament to Benefit Hospital
Simi Valley Hospital & Health Care Services has scheduled its fourth annual Thanksgiving Charity Golf Classic at Wood Ranch Golf Club for Nov. 22.
Proceeds will be used to purchase a gamma detection system, one of the latest technological advances in fighting cancer.
The radio-guided system allows a physician to detect and pinpoint the location of small cancerous tumors.
Registration for the tournament begins at 7 a.m., with a shotgun tee time at 9 a.m. An awards ceremony and buffet dinner are scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
The cost is $250 per person or $900 for a foursome. The cost includes greens fees, cart, breakfast, lunch, dinner, a gift bag, beverages and tee prizes.
