SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO
The City Council will vote Tuesday on whether to establish a sister city relationship with Capestrano, Italy, which has historical reference points in the Orange County city.
San Juan Capistrano was named after St. John of Capestrano, who was a famous Franciscan clergyman in the 15th century.
Capestrano is a small medieval town in the foothills of the Gran Sasso National Park, 70 miles from Rome.
