Man Killed in Crash After Heart Attack
A 71-year-old Tarzana man died Thursday morning after crashing his car into a curb, Los Angeles police said.
Martin Smith was driving north on Reseda Boulevard when he lost control of his car at 7:30 a.m. near Hermano Drive, said Officer Connie Silber of the LAPD Valley Traffic Division. Smith apparently suffered a heart attack before the accident, Silber said.
He was taken to Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
