THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG

The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Tuesday:

BREA

* Brea Mall: A forgery was reported in the 1000 block at 4:34 p.m. Monday.

* East Birch Street: A grand theft was reported in the 3000 block at 7:14 p.m. Monday.

* East Carbon Canyon Road: A grand theft was reported in the 5000 block at 7:31 a.m. Monday.

* East Elm Circle: Lewd phone calls were reported in the 3300 block at 6:39 p.m. Monday.

* North Brea Boulevard: A grand theft was reported in the 500 block at 6:57 p.m. Monday.

GARDEN GROVE

* Yockey Street: A report of a robbery and assault with a deadly weapon in the 13100 block Tuesday. Two Garden Grove men were arrested shortly after police responded to the robbery report. One of the assailants tried to stab the victim with a knife but missed. Police who frisked the suspects said they recovered the victim’s property in their possession.

LAGUNA NIGUEL

* Camino del Avion: A woman reported that a rock was thrown at her vehicle near Commerce Center Drive at 4:02 p.m. Thursday.

* Brandon Drive: A woman in the 28400 block reported that her cell phone was stolen from her open vehicle between 8:30 p.m. Nov. 17 and 7 a.m. Thursday.

* Viewpoint Place: A student in the 100 block reported at 9:20 p.m. Thursday being assaulted by another student. The attack reportedly occurred Nov. 15.

PLACENTIA

* Allegheny Way: A grand theft was reported at 9:05 a.m. Monday.

* Imperial Highway at Rose Drive: A hazard caused by a mattress in the road was reported at 12:20 p.m. Monday.

* Kimberly Avenue at Placentia Avenue: Stolen property was recovered during a car stop at 1:44 a.m. Monday.

TUSTIN

* 17th Street and Costa Mesa Freeway: A car accident was reported at 9:30 a.m. Friday.

* Park Center Lane: A suspicious person was reported in the 13000 block at 9:20 p.m. Friday

YORBA LINDA

* Highland Avenue: A burglary was reported in the 5300 block at 5:22 p.m. Monday.

* Lakeview Avenue: A petty theft was reported in the 4300 block at 10:22 p.m. Monday.

* La Palma Avenue: A petty theft was reported in the 23000 block at 4:31 a.m. Monday.

* Paseo Tortuga: A petty theft was reported in the 5300 block at 12:39 p.m. Monday.

OTHER COMMUNITIES

ALISO VIEJO

* Enterprise: Two men were apprehended at 8:55 p.m. Thursday for driving in a closed construction site in the 100 block.

* Woodcrest Lane: A wedding ring was reported stolen from a night stand at 10 a.m. Friday in the 200 block.

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports Tuesday: Anaheim, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Dana Point, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, La Habra, Lake Forest, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, Orange, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Stanton, Villa Park and Westminster.
