* Pooch’s. Its waterfront location in King Harbor Marina makes Pooch’s one of the most beautiful restaurant-bars in town. Think New England in the summer, only add a fireplace and melt into your seat. There’s live music too. * Ibiza. Hermosa’s first true lounge. This spacious tapas bar has an outdoor patio and a candlelit indoor lounge where hip scenesters congregate. Of late, it’s become the newest happy-hour haunt in Hermosa. Deejays play house, hip-hop and assorted dance music Fridays and Saturdays. 934 Hermosa Ave., Hermosa Beach. * Beaches. Where you’ll find the best oceanfront view in town. Formerly called Sunsets, this restaurant and bar still packs ‘em in when the sun drops down into the Pacific. The sunset is visible from the downstairs bar and the upstairs patio, which has a retractable glass ceiling. * Lounge at the Beach. After half of forever, the owners of the Comedy and Magic Club finally renovated their old restaurant, Igors, to bring us this funky nightclub. Open Thursday through Saturday, the Lounge is one of the only places in Hermosa where you can hear live music. * Ein Steins. This hip microbrewery and restaurant wins the prize for biggest new bar in Hermosa. The spacious venue features an outdoor patio overlooking the ocean and a huge indoor bar and restaurant where five home-brewed beers are served up, including Cerveza Hermosa and Dopplers Dunkle. 1301 Manhattan Ave., Hermosa Beach.
