THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG

The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Wednesday:

BREA

* Brea Mall: A burglary was reported in the 300 block at 8:03 p.m. Tuesday.

* Brea Mall: A grand theft was reported in the 2100 block at 4:37 p.m. Tuesday.

* East Date Street: A petty theft was reported in the 3400 block at 8:52 a.m. Tuesday.

* South State College Boulevard: A burglary was reported in the 200 block at 5:21 p.m. Tuesday.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* Bay: Three checks were stolen from a home in the 17800 block at 11:57 a.m. Wednesday and forged.

FULLERTON

* South Brookhurst Road: A petty theft was reported in the 300 block at 8:14 p.m. Tuesday.

* East Chapman Avenue: A robbery was reported in the 2400 block at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday.

* West Commonwealth Avenue: A petty theft was reported in the 3500 block at 6:02 p.m. Tuesday.

* North Harbor Boulevard: A drunk driver was reported in the 1100 block at 10 p.m. Tuesday.

GARDEN GROVE

* 9th Street and Frederick Drive: Two men were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon Friday. The victim was assaulted with a knife and was sprayed in the face with a caustic chemical.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

* Magnolia Street: An office window was broken at Edison High School at 6 p.m. Sunday. No one was inside.

LA HABRA

* North Euclid Street: A petty theft was reported in the 100 block at 7:23 p.m. Monday.

* South Beach Boulevard: A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 1300 block at 11:26 p.m. Tuesday.

* Florence Court and Cypress Street: Police responded to a report of shots fired at 6:53 p.m. Tuesday.

PLACENTIA

* East Chapman Avenue: A burglary was reported in the 400 block at 4:23 p.m. Tuesday.

* Moonbeam Street: A petty theft was reported in the 700 block at 3:38 p.m. Tuesday.

* Taft Lane: A report of receiving possible hate mail was reported at 8:04 a.m. Tuesday.

YORBA LINDA

* Calle Vista Linda: Vandalism was reported in the 5000 block at 7:49 a.m. Tuesday.

* Cottonwood Road: Vandalism was reported in the 20700 block at 8:18 a.m. Tuesday.

* Lotus Avenue: A stolen vehicle was reported in the 4900 block at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

* Savi Ranch Parkway: A petty theft was reported in the 22000 block at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday.

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports Wednesday: Anaheim, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Dana Point, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, Orange, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Stanton, Tustin, Villa Park and Westminster.
