Suspects Are Sought in Fatal Shooting
Police were seeking clues Sunday after a shooting in which the passengers of one car fired a fusillade of bullets into another vehicle, killing one man and wounding three others.
Andrew Garcia, 24, of Pacoima was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Van Nuys Boulevard and Woodman Avenue about 9:30 p.m. Saturday in his 1968 Chevy Impala when another car pulled up behind him, according to the Foothill Division of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The passengers in the other car began firing into Garcia’s vehicle, hitting him and his three passengers, authorities said.
Garcia drove to a nearby hospital, where one of his passengers, Henry Manuel Gonzalez, 27, of Pacoima, died of his wounds. Garcia and the other victims, Miguel Garcia, 27, of Pacoima, and Loupe Romoro, 31, of Arleta, were treated and released, officials said.
Police said Sunday they had no motive for the shootings and no suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at (818) 834-3115.
