Antti Aalto #14

Age: 24 Center Shoots: Left

Moves from right wing to center the third line. Hits hard and has good speed to go with his size (6 feet 2, 210 pounds). Two of his three goals came against Chicago. Led Duck rookies in games played and finished tied in goals, assists and points. First point was an assist on a rarity, a Stu Grimson goal.

Ted Drury #18

Age: 28 Center Shoots: Left

Has become a key component of the Ducks after three seasons. Solid, physical player who can be used in nearly any role. Will probably play with tough guys Stu Grimson and Jim McKenzie. In 1995, scored on a 75-foot slap shot 19 seconds into a game, still an Ottawa record for fastest goal.

Stu Grimson #32

Age: 34 Left wing Shoots: Left

Ironically, lists one of his favorite TV shows as “Law & Order.” He is both on the ice. Brought in to make teams pay for roughing up Paul Kariya and Teemu Selanne and was very effective in that role. Scored two goals against Tampa Bay on Oct. 28, his first multi-goal game. Had three goals last season.

Helped plug a huge hole in the Ducks’ defense last season. A solid player who can shut down top scorers. In fact, he was one of the most effective playing against Wayne Gretzky over the years. Won a Stanley Cup with Montreal in 1992-93. Averaged more than 20 minutes per game last season.

Third-round pick in June draft. A skilled skater who handles the puck well. Needs only to adjust to the more physical style of the NHL to be successful. Played for Sweden’s national team and was one of the top defenders in the Swedish League. Had career highs in goals and points last season.

Guy Hebert #31

Age: 32 Goalie Catches: Left

His .911 career save percentage is third among active goalies. Will probably get a little more time off this season after being second among goalies in games played. Left Game 1 of the playoffs after being hit in the head, but came back to have solid series. Wants to be a fly fishing guide when career is over.
