Two gunmen assaulted and robbed a family during a home invasion robbery Thursday night, police said. The assailants remain at large.

The gunmen beat a father and his two adult sons and took an undisclosed amount in cash and jewelry at a house in the 3300 block of Red Rose Drive about 11:30 p.m., said Los Angeles Police Officer April Archer. The victims suffered minor injuries and were treated at the house by paramedics, she said.

The gunmen drove off in the family’s car, which was recovered about two hours later two miles away on Sepulveda Boulevard north of Getty Center Drive, police said.

Archer said the robbery began when the gunmen approached the two brothers, who were in the home’s open garage. The assailants ordered the men into the house.

One gunman held five people--the brothers, their parents, and a female friend--at gunpoint while the other ransacked the house, Archer said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the LAPD West Valley Division at (818) 756-8542.
