Search for JonBenet’s Killer to Continue

Dist. Atty. Alex Hunter of Boulder, Colo., acknowledged that “mistakes were made” in the JonBenet Ramsey slaying investigation but defended his office and said he is not done searching for the 6-year-old beauty queen’s killer. He said the girl’s parents, John and Patsy Ramsey, “have not been eliminated from the investigation.” Hunter faced a barrage of criticism after announcing that a 13-month grand jury investigation into the slaying did not find enough evidence to charge anyone. Gov. Bill Owens said a team of attorneys, including state Atty. Gen. Ken Salazar, will review the case and recommend whether a special prosecutor should be named.
