YORBA LINDA
The Fiesta Days Parade and Street Faire, the city’s largest community event, will feature antique cars, state-of-the-art helicopters and a menagerie of animals.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. Saturday on Casa Loma Avenue and will end at the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace, 18001 Yorba Linda Blvd. More than 3,000 community members, including school marching bands and city officials, are expected to participate. The California Highway Patrol will make an appearance with its helicopter crew and the Brea Police Department’s canine team will give a demonstration.
At the end of the parade, people can attend the festivities in the Nixon Library parking lot, where there will be about 60 booths for food, games and live entertainment. Fiesta Days celebrates the city’s 1967 incorporation. The theme of the parade, in its 32nd year, will be “California Gold,” commemorating 150 years of statehood.
