Festival to Mark Catholic Hospital’s 75th Birthday
EAST LOS ANGELES —
Santa Marta Hospital, the only Catholic hospital in East Los Angeles, will host a free festival today to celebrate 75 years in the community.
About 55,000 people, many of whom still live in the area, were born in the 110-bed hospital, hospital officials said.
The community festival, which will start at 10 a.m. and end at 2 p.m., will offer free food, games and entertainment, such as an all-female mariachi band and folklorico dancers. The hospital is located at 319 N. Humpreys Ave.
