4.5 Aftershock Rattles Area Near Joshua Tree
MOJAVE DESERT —
A magnitude 4.5 aftershock of the Hector Mine earthquake shook a Mojave Desert area 27 miles north of Joshua Tree at 5:36 a.m. Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The temblor was the strongest aftershock of the 7.1 earthquake of Oct. 16 in four days. There was no damage or injuries.
