Ice Dogs Can’t Hold Early Lead
CINCINNATI —
The Long Beach Ice Dogs blew a two-goal lead Friday night as the Cincinnati Cyclones scored a goal in each period to win, 3-2.
Both Ice Dog goals came on the power play in the first period, one by Jan Nemecek, the other by Robb Gordon. But Long Beach (6-6-0) couldn’t hold on as Craig Adams’ goal at 14:13 of the third period gave the Cyclones (4-4-2) the lead for good.
Leading rookie scorer Nils Ekman assisted on both of the Ice Dog goals, giving him eight points.
