Re “Chatsworth Reservoir Set Aside as Nature Preserve,” Oct. 20.
Congratulations to City Councilman Hal Bernson and his staff for paving the way for the Los Angeles Board of Water and Power Commissioners to vote for the preservation of Chatsworth Reservoir. Contrary to what some have written, the lake is not a wasteland but a precious part of our city.. . . Every square inch of land does not need to be developed, even if for the purpose of recreation. In addition, every last piece of land does not need to be a landscape architectural masterpiece, complete with manicured green sod and fancy hardscape.
