VALLEY ROUNDUP : Van Nuys : Man Fatally Shot in Suspected Drug Deal
A 22-year-old man was shot to death during an apparent drug deal, police said Tuesday.
Ernesto Morales of Van Nuys was shot several times about 11:35 p.m. Monday, said Los Angeles Police Det. Steve Fisk of the Van Nuys Division.
Morales was taken to Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys, where he was pronounced dead at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday, Fisk said.
According to police, Morales had scheduled a meeting with a drug dealer before he was shot on the 7100 block of Sepulveda Boulevard. Witnesses saw a man running from Morales’ car shortly after the shooting, police said. No one has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
