The Toshiba Tallships Festival is sailing into Dana Point Harbor this weekend. Beginning at noon on Saturday, residents will see seven historic tallships, including the Brig Pilgrim and the Californian, battling their way into the harbor, cannons blazing.
Tours of the two tallships will be Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Orange County Marine Institute.
Also throughout the weekend the harbor will offer musical entertainment, educational displays and an art show featuring paintings and photographs by more than 50 artists.
Tickets for nightly cannon-battle excursions aboard the tall ships are $35 for adults, $20 for children. Information: (949) 496-2274.
