Roy Lassiter had a goal and an assist Friday night as D.C. United recorded a franchise-record ninth consecutive victory, 2-1 over the Tampa Bay Mutiny before 12,397 at Tampa, Fla.
Lassiter tied Stern John of the Columbus Crew for the Major League Soccer lead with his 17th goal in the 23rd minute. He also assisted on Jaime Moreno’s goal in the 43rd minute.
Colorado 1, Kansas City 0--The Rapids outscored the Wizards, 3-2, in a shootout before 17,632 at Denver.
