VENTURA COUNTY ROUNDUP : Point Mugu : Naval Base Holding Logo Competition
The Naval Air Station is inviting residents to enter its logo competition.
Submissions are due Sept. 20.
Amateur or professional artists and designers are invited to create a logo incorporating the naval bases at Port Hueneme and Point Mugu. The logo should be designed for use on letterheads, patches, insignias, signs and souvenirs.
Suggested themes include naval aviation, port operations or a coastal setting. Entries must be submitted on 8 1/2-by-11-inch white, unlined paper, and logos in primary colors are preferred.
On a separate cover sheet--not on the logo drawing--each contestant should include his or her name, address, telephone number and, if applicable, employer or organization.
The winner will receive a framed copy of the logo and special seating at the 2000 Point Mugu Air Show.
