Neighborhood Revivals Underway

Mark Ehrman’s “There Goes the Neighborhood” (So SoCal, Aug. 8) shows that a resettling trend away from the Westside is developing, just as I’d suspected for a while. I am familiar with all the areas mentioned--Koreatown, North Hollywood (NoHo), East L.A. and Mount Washington--and I believe that they all have something to recommend them as interesting areas.

I was especially pleased to see my hometown of Alhambra mentioned; most people don’t seem to know much about it. Gronk the Artist said it very well when he mentioned the bookstores, coffee shops and great restaurants that have been emerging in the past few years, as well as some great eateries in Monterey Park.

Thanks for mentioning our neck of the woods. We do exist.
