The Parks and Recreation Commission on Monday opted to get feedback from teenagers before deciding on key planning and building issues at the proposed Alicia Skate and Soccer Park.

Commissioners have tentatively scheduled a meeting Oct. 18 with about 35 of the city’s skateboarding teens to get their opinions on the park, which is in the city’s northern section.

At issue are skate ramps’ design and skill levels, building materials, fees and whether the park should be supervised, said Carson J. Lev, commission chairman.
