The Parks and Recreation Commission could waive about $8,000 in fees Thursday for two youth baseball leagues that play on city fields at El Toro Park II.

City officials said the Lake Forest Little League and Pony League have installed new pitching mounds and new fencing and made other improvements to the fields over the last few years. The leagues plan to add more improvements this year.

The value of the leagues’ improvements exceeds the yearly fees for use of the fields, officials said.
