In an effort to educate children on the importance of recycling, the City Council recently signed off on a plan to establish a $3,000 gallery expansion at the Discovery Science Center that would educate children about the interconnections between the Earth’s man-made and natural elements, and create art from diverted refuse from landfills. Money for the project at the center, at 3101 W. Harvard St., will come from a city refuse account.
