THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG

The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports over the weekend:

BREA

* East Mango Street: Obscene telephone calls were reported in the 800 block Thursday.

* Brea Mall: A grand theft was reported in the 2000 block at 1:43 p.m. Thursday.

* Brea Mall: Stolen property was reported in the 500 block at 1:34 p.m. Wednesday.

* North Pointe Drive: A grand theft was reported in the first block at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday.

COSTA MESA

* Costa Mesa Freeway at Mesa Drive: A motorist lost control of a car and overturned, blocking two southbound lanes at 12:39 p.m. Sunday. An ambulance responded.

DANA POINT

* Golden Lantern: A robbery alarm was triggered in the 33000 block at 11:05 a.m. Thursday.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* La Estrella Avenue: Video games worth $1,170 were stolen from a residence in the 9100 block at 4:01 p.m. Monday.

* San Diego Freeway at Brookhurst Street: Report of a traffic accident in the southbound lanes at 11:34 a.m. Sunday. No injuries were reported.

IRVINE

* Santa Ana Freeway at Culver Drive: Report of a van stalled in a southbound lane at 11:32 a.m. Sunday.

LAKE FOREST

* Dune Mear at Osprey Street: As deputies were observing a suspicious vehicle at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, both men in the car got out and threw an object under the vehicle. Deputies detained the men, and tests revealed the object contained narcotics. Both suspects were arrested and taken to County Jail.

* Toledo Way: Someone reported that he had been assaulted with a flashlight during a fight at El Toro High School at 1 p.m. Tuesday. A person was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and booked into County Jail.

MISSION VIEJO

* Abedul: A prowler was reported in the 21000 block at 9:15 p.m. Thursday.

* Alderbrook: A suspicious vehicle was spotted in the 21000 block at 6 p.m. Thursday.

* Jeronimo: A traffic collision was reported in the 25000 block at 1:39 p.m. Thursday.

ORANGE

* Orange and Garden Grove freeways: A motorist headed south on the Orange Freeway at the Garden Grove Freeway interchange lost control of a car and slammed into a light pole, clipping a car parked on the side of the road on Sunday at 2:50 p.m. An ambulance responded. Injuries unknown.

PLACENTIA

* East Orangethorpe Avenue: A vehicle burglary was reported in the 100 block at 2:11 p.m. Wednesday.

* Maui Drive: A dispute between a landlord and tenant was reported at 2:12 p.m. Wednesday.

* East Chapman Avenue: A grand theft was reported at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.

SAN CLEMENTE

* Avenida Navarro: A robbery alarm was triggered in the 100 block at 9:03 a.m. Thursday.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO

* Paseo Adelanto: A robbery alarm was triggered in the 32000 block at 11:23 a.m. Thursday.

YORBA LINDA

* Christie Drive: A petty theft was reported in the 17000 block at 6:56 a.m. Thursday.

* Via Mariposa: Unlawful sex with a minor was reported in the 5000 block at 3:42 p.m. Thursday.

* Sommerville Circle: A forgery was reported in the 20000 block at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday.

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports over the weekend: Anaheim, Buena Park, Cypress, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, La Habra, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Newport Beach, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Stanton, Tustin, Villa Park and Westminster.
