With Bush’s single “The Chemicals Between Us” off to a great radio start in advance of the Oct. 26 release of the band’s “The Science of Things” album, plans are being made for director Hype Williams to shoot a video for a second single, “Jesus Online.” Bush is set to perform at the London NetAid concert Oct. 9, with a full tour set for spring of 2000. . . .

Sixpence None the Richer, having added its new hit version of the La’s “There She Goes” to new pressings of its current self-titled album, is offering a free CD single of the song to fans who already own the album. It will be mailed to anyone who sends a photocopy of the original album’s back cover (with the track listings) to the band’s Nashville-based label, Squint Entertainment. . . .

Shades of Peter Frampton: The Roots are titling their live album “The Roots Come Alive.” It’s due Nov. 2, and will also include the studio recording “What You Want,” which will be heard on the soundtrack of the film “The Best Man.” . . .

MCA Records is putting together a seasonal R&B; set from its roster. Titled “My Christmas Album” (the initials are MCA), it will include tracks by Patti LaBelle, K-Ci & JoJo, Gladys Knight, Chante Moore and Guy’s Aaron and Damian Hall.
